My name is John Merritt and I live in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This blog started out as a journal of the adventure that began when my wife and I purchased a fifth wheel trailer in 2011 and made our transition from tent camping to RVing.
While it has been and continues to be a great experience, I’ve found the topic to be too confining: I’m not interested in writing about every new model of trailer that comes out, I’m not a gearhead, and the world can only handle so many articles on the pickleball craze.
That, along with a desire to expand my writing and photography portfolio, led me to refocus Newbilly Adventures in early 2014.
I’ll still cover this new way (for us, at least) of experiencing the outdoors, and all the adventures that entails. Beyond that, I’ll also talk about things I’ve read and topics that interest me, write profiles of interesting people, and feature more photos.
I look forward to this broader focus and the opportunities it provides.
